Adopt a Street

Is Prayer Effective?
As a group of churches in the Southlake region of Ontario, we are together encouraging Christians to pray for their local area and sign up their street at http://www.transformourworld.org/en/adopt. Over the past 12 months, local Christians have committed to pray for just over 4% of the streets in our region. Interstingly, over a similar time frame, the crime rate in York Region dropped 4.5% (http://www.yorkregion.com/news/article/1343313--york-s-crime-rate-drops-4-5). Interesting, isn't it?
"... seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper." (Jeremiah 29:7)
